Molen De Hoop

("The Hope" Windmill)


"The Hope" corn-mill is a tower-mill, which was built in 1792.

 

The sign showing the year '1620' refers to a wooden predecessor of the present windmill, which was fully restored in 1980/1981. Since the restoration the windmill is fully operational and carries out (on a small scale) it's original craft: the grinding of corn.
